01 / OVERVIEW
Who this policy covers
DreamForge for Mac is operated by Eventide Labs LLC. The app is a creative client for a ComfyUI server chosen and configured by you. DreamForge does not require an Eventide Labs account for normal use.
Your configured server and the partner workflows you choose may be operated by other companies. Their privacy, billing, retention, and safety policies apply independently.
02 / ON YOUR MAC
Local media and workspace data
DreamForge can store imported and generated images, generated videos, selected source videos and audio clips, reference frames, boards, galleries, workspaces, prompts, prompt history, recipes, previews, and project settings in its app container or a library location you select.
Eventide Labs does not receive or host this local library by default. Browsing your library, boards, galleries, or workspaces does not by itself submit their contents to an AI provider.
Folder access selected through Finder is stored using macOS security-scoped bookmarks. Ordinary app preferences are stored locally.
03 / WHEN YOU CREATE
ComfyUI and partner processing
When you choose Generate, Edit, or AI Prompt, DreamForge sends the prompt and media selected for that job to the ComfyUI server you configured. Depending on the workflow, selected content may include negative prompts, images, reference frames, source videos, audio clips, or other job settings.
Your ComfyUI server may retain uploaded inputs, queue information, job history, and generated outputs. DreamForge may read that server-side queue, history, and output information to track or recover a job.
Partner-node workflows may forward selected content to model providers for image generation, video generation, editing, enhancement, background removal, or prompt assistance. Providers represented by shipped workflows may include Comfy, OpenAI, Google or Gemini, ByteDance or Seedream and Seedance services, MiniMax, Black Forest Labs or FLUX services, Kling, LTX, Magnific, xAI, Ideogram, Qwen, and the operators supporting those nodes. The provider depends on the model and workflow you select and can change as partner services evolve.
AI Prompt workflows send your prompt and any selected reference to the configured server and may return provider-generated text. DreamForge checks both the submitted input and returned prompt before using it.
04 / ACCOUNTS AND CREDITS
Credentials and provider accounts
Your Comfy API key is stored in Apple Keychain, not in app preferences. DreamForge uses it when you ask the app to submit compatible partner-node jobs or test account access. Account-status and credit checks may send the key to Comfy services and return account or balance information for display in the app.
DreamForge does not sell Comfy Credits and does not contain an in-app checkout for partner credits. Purchases, billing records, credit balances, and provider account administration are controlled by Comfy or the applicable provider.
05 / PERMISSION
Cloud-processing acknowledgement
Before the first generation, edit, or AI Prompt job for a configured server, DreamForge asks for permission to send the selected job content. Approval is remembered for that server. Changing the server requires a new acknowledgement, and you can revoke approval in Settings.
Revoking approval prevents new jobs from being sent by DreamForge. It cannot recall content that was already transmitted or delete copies held by a server or provider.
06 / RETENTION
How long data remains
Local media and project records remain in your selected library until you delete or move them. Deleting local content does not automatically delete copies previously uploaded to a ComfyUI server or partner provider.
Server operators and model providers control their own retention and deletion practices. Review the policies for your configured server and selected providers, and use their tools or contact routes for server-side or provider-side deletion requests.
If you contact Eventide Labs for support, we receive the information you choose to include in your message. Support correspondence may be retained as needed to answer the request, maintain service records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.
08 / SECURITY
Connection and file protections
DreamForge permits plain HTTP only for loopback servers on the same Mac. Remote servers must use HTTPS. The app rejects server URLs containing embedded credentials and restricts network redirects to the same origin.
No system can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for the security, access controls, updates, and retention settings of any ComfyUI server you configure.
